Have like Love… Friendship… Adventure… Yesteryear… Here is a new story with a capital A, told in “Story of A”one of Rhône FM’s new native podcasts.
Story of A
This is the story of Michelle and Mario, a charming couple who live in Arbaz. Mario is passionate about cars and engines. He has plenty of anecdotes to tell you about it, like the time he bent over in Zürich, to go racing with his friend in Monaco. If his voice is no longer very sure, his memories are intact.
Michelle immediately impressed me with her elegance and gentleness. A perfect diction, just like his bearing. I had before me a great lady.
I would like to thank them both again for having confided to the microphone of Rhône FM some passages of their life somewhat out of the ordinary.
Travel Travel…
Michelle and Mario, before meeting, had one thing in common: they traveled a lot.
Mario, for his work, left his native Ticino to live in particular in Stuttgart, Hong Kong and even in America. He worked for Mercedes and Sulzer, on all kinds of American car, boat and locomotive engines!
Michelle left her native Morocco to follow her first husband to Cambodia, Senegal, Gabon and finally to Madagascar where he died tragically.
Mario was married, then he divorced “like everyone”, he tells us. He ended up with custody of his children and never got back together again. Michelle remarried following the death of her first husband. A union not really happy.
An unlikely meeting
We are in 1998, Michelle lives on the island of Reunion with her second husband, Mario, freshly retired, comes to spend the Christmas holidays there. They will meet through mutual friends and discover that they like each other. But Michelle is not free. Mario returns to Switzerland, not without leaving his phone number to Michelle with this message:
“Madam, if you change your life, call me…”
Which she will do a little later.
Better late…
Well he took it. Michelle and Mario have been together for 24 years now. They even got married 14 years ago, on July 8, 2008. Today they live peacefully in their chalet, in the heart of the Arbaz forest, with the sweet song of birds and bisses to accompany their days.
