Benfica consolidated its bet on what is considered one of the greatest hopes of the club’s formation today and announced, this Thursday, the renewal of the contract with Paulo Bernardo until 2027 (the previous contract ended in 2024).
But there is more: the value of the release clause for the 20-year average went from €60 M to €100 M.
Paulo Bernardo has been with the eagles since school and has been, this season, a more consistent bet since coach Nélson Veríssimo took over the team. The youngster has already played 16 games for the main team in the sum of all competitions. He was a starter in the Championship five times and in five other matches he was used as a substitute; in the Champions League he has already participated in four games this season, although here with fewer minutes of use: 26 ‘.
