MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba said Wednesday that a group of thieves broke into his home while he was playing in the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.
Using Twitter, the French soccer player said that his “babies were sleeping in his room” on Tuesday, when the robbery occurred. Pogba offered a reward for anyone with information on the case.
“The thieves were in our home for less than five minutes, but in that time they robbed us of something more valuable than anything we would have had in our home… Our sense of security,” Pogba wrote.
He added that the robbery occurred during the last minutes of the match that United lost 1-0 to Atleti to be eliminated from the tournament. Pogba’s wife was at Old Trafford, watching the match.
