O Corinthians announced today that it has agreed the sale of attacking midfielder Gabriel Pereira to New York City, from the United States, a club belonging to the City Group.
According to the UOL Esporte, the deal was signed at US$ 5.5 million (R$ 28.2 million at the current price). He was a protagonist in some games of the Brasileirão last season and aroused the interest of clubs in England, Spain and Portugal. For Timão, he played in 47 games and scored two goals.
In recent days, with the progress of negotiations with the City Group, GP had not even participated in tactical training led by coach Vítor Pereira, although he was carrying out normal schedule with the rest of the squad.
