Former President Donald Trump said in an interview Wednesday that he will not choose Mike Pence as his running mate for the White House.

“I don’t think people will accept it,” Trump told The Washington Examiner of the idea of another possible Trump-Pence candidacy.
Trump has repeatedly said that whoever was his vice president for four years could have legally overturned the results of the 2020 election during Joe Biden’s certification to Congress.
“Mike and I had a great relationship except for the very important factor that took place at the end. We had a very good relationship. I haven’t talked to him in a long time,” the former president said.
Trump and his allies contend that the electoral college votes in the states he lost to Biden should have been rejected due to widespread fraud, but the evidence that was presented was rejected. However, in several states where Trump supposedly lost, they implemented new electoral rules due to serious irregularities during the November 2020 elections.
“Mike thought it was going to be a human conveyor belt, that no matter how fraudulent the votes are, you have to send them to the Old Crow,” Trump said, using his favorite nickname for then Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. .
“Mike disappointed me,” he said.
