All England Open 2022 – Jonathan Christie: It’s Really a Miracle

“Praise God, I am grateful to be able to play in the All England,” said Jonathan, quoted by BolaSport.com from Badminton Indonesia.

“It’s really a miracle because in two days I was negative in two tests,” he continued.

When competing in the round of 32 of the All England 2022, Wednesday (16/3/2022), the seventh seed managed to stop the resistance of Brice Leverdez (France), 21-9, 16-21, 21-17.

“Today I was able to control the match from the start. In the first game I was able to play and enjoy the game,” said Jonathan.

“In the second game, my tempo dropped a bit, dropped a bit so Brice could be more comfortable and I followed his playing pattern. In the third game, I was lucky to be able to play in my pattern again,” said Jonatan.
