According to Putin, from now on the West will lose its “global dominance” both politically and economically. The Russian head of state stated that the mythical Western-style welfare state, called billions of gold, was collapsing.
“It’s the whole planet that has to pay the price for the ambitions of the West, and its efforts to maintain its lost dominance at any cost,” Putin said. Russia TodayThursday (17/3/2022).
The Russian president predicts worldwide food shortages due to Western sanctions against Russia have a bad impact on the entire global economy.
Alluding to the decision of some Western powers to freeze the assets of Russia’s central bank, Putin claimed that this would only irreparably damage trust in those countries and make other countries think twice before placing their reserves in those countries’ hands.

According to him, nearly half of Moscow’s assets were “simply stolen” by the West.
Addressing people in the West, the Russian leader said the sweeping sanctions imposed on Russia had already backfired on the US and Europe itself, with the government there trying hard to convince its citizens that Russia was to blame.
Putin warned ordinary people in the West that attempts to portray Moscow as the main source of all their woes are lies, with many of those problems a direct result of the “ambitions” and “political short-sightedness” of Western governments.
Western elites, according to Putin, have turned their country into an “empire of lies”, but Russia will continue to present its own position to the rest of the world no matter what.
