MUKOMUKO – The Health Office of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, said that one local resident had tested positive for dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) from January to February 2022.

“Only one resident was positive for dengue fever during January to February this year because the awareness of local residents to eradicate mosquito nests (PSN) is getting higher,” said the DHF Program Manager at the Mukomuko District Health Office, Bara Lendra in a statement at Mukomuko, Antara, Wednesday. , March 16.

The local Health Office receives monthly reports from residents who have DHF from the puskesmas. After the report was received, the Health Office carried out fumigation to prevent the transmission of dengue fever.

One resident who was infected with the dengue fever came from the working area of ​​the Bukit Mulya Health Center. This resident contracted dengue fever in January 2022, while in February there were no cases.

Health workers from the local Health Office have carried out fogging or fumigation at locations where cases were found, including conducting epidemiological investigations (PE).

Furthermore, he said his agency continues to appeal to sub-district heads, village heads and village heads to RT and the entire community to prevent the spread of this disease.

He stated that although there were no cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in January or no positive person for this disease, residents were asked to remain vigilant.

He advised residents to continue to eradicate mosquito nests (PSN) to prevent the spread of dengue disease during the COVID-19 pandemic but not to involve many people.

“We ask residents in this region to do PSN to prevent the spread of dengue fever but do not let many of them come,” he said.
