The MotoGP parade was lively and made residents excited on the route they were passing. The MotoGP racers also had the opportunity to taste the asphalt of the capital city of Jakarta and meet directly with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace. However, there is a unique note in this parade, namely the MotoGP parade which is claimed to only exist in Indonesia.
As stated by Matteo Guerinoni, a former racer and host of the program ‘Energy to Speed Up Parade’ on Trans7.
“This is something new for them, for 30 years there has never been an event like this, no one has ever been able to meet the President directly. It is very honorable to be able to meet the President in person,” said Mateo Guerinoni.
“How does it feel, Pak Jokowi also meets world class racers, what does it feel like, you must be proud,” said Mateo.
In the previous detikOto report, the police had sterilized a number of roads in the Monas area, Central Jakarta ahead of the MotoGP racers parade. Traffic to Monas has been closed since 08.30 WIB.

The parade of MotoGP riders was lively. Starting at around 10:00, this event drew the attention of local residents who were passed by this group of riders. Many residents tried to get closer and closer to the riders just to be able to see up close or touch their hands.
The reckless action was carried out by a group of people by climbing a tree on the edge of the parade site.
During this parade, the Director of Lantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo closed the roads from the Merdeka Palace, namely Jl Medan Merdeka Barat, Jl MH Thamrin, and ended at the HI roundabout area.
