Leaked iPhone 14 Series, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max Will Use Apple’s Latest Chipset

Technologue.id, Jakarta – Apple is rumored to be launching a new line of iPhone products in 2022. Rumors related to this have now been widely circulated on the internet.

A well-known analyst and leaker of various Apple products, Ming-chi Kuo, claims that the iPhone for the year will continue the numbering of the previous generation, namely the iPhone 14.

Through a tease in the account @mingchikuoKuo explained that there are four iPhone 14 models that Apple will introduce in the second half of 2022.

The four models are the ‘regular’ iPhone 14 (with a 6.1-inch screen), the iPhone 14 Max (with a 6.7-inch screen), the iPhone 14 Pro (with a 6.1-inch screen), and the iPhone 14 Pro Max ( with a 6.7-inch screen). If this news is true, then Apple’s ‘Mini’ model will likely be retired after being present in two series of iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.

Kuo also said that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will be powered by A15 Bionic, the Apple chipset introduced in the iPhone 13 Series line. Meanwhile, the rest will be powered by the latest Apple chipset, allegedly named A16 Bionic.

According to several reports, the naming of the A15 Bionic chipset itself seems to be slightly changed, such as the names of the A12 Bionic chipsets that power a number of iPad Pro products, such as the A12X Bionic or A12Z Bionic.

Kuo continued, all these iPhone 14 models will be equipped with 6 GB of RAM, namely LPDDR4X RAM for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, then LPDDR5 for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple actually never revealed the RAM capacity of the iPhone. However, with this different type of RAM, the iPhone 14 Pro version will certainly be faster than the ‘regular’ iPhone 14.

In addition, the iPhone 14 Series is also rumored to be the first iPhone that does not use a notch. Kuo predicts that the iPhone 14 will use a hole-punch camera with a Face ID sensor embedded under the screen.

Keep in mind, that the information regarding the iPhone 14 model and specifications that Kuo shared cannot be confirmed because it is a leak or rumor. Apple itself has not officially announced anything regarding the existence of the iPhone 14. In addition, the successor to the iPhone 13 will also not necessarily be named the iPhone 14.
