Portet-sur-Garonne. Two French champions in Angers

From March 9 to 13, the 27th French Open Maitres Nationale 1 championship, and 2nd championship in N 2 took place in Angers. Masters swimmers are somewhat veterans of swimming since the discipline is aimed at swimmers over the age of 25 who have the ambition to line up in competition. 1,590 swimmers (659 female swimmers and 931 male swimmers) from 320 structures for the N1s and 79 structures for the N2s participated in these championships. Six swimmers from the Club Nautique Portésiens had made the trip. They achieved excellent results, two of them also took the top step of the podium.

In National 1, David Huck finished 11th in his category in the 800m freestyle with a time of 11′ 30″. Marie Chifflet finished 8th in her category in the 100m breaststroke in 1′ 33″ 09

In National 2, Pierre Founneau Cazale finished French champion in the 50m swim in 26′ and 100m freestyle in 58’93” and he was vice-champion of France in the 50m butterfly. Sarah Founneau Cazale is double French champion in the 100m breaststroke in 1’35″17 and 200m breaststroke in 3’25″13 and finishes 3rd in the 50m breaststroke 43″74.
