Vivalia hospitals: further relaxation of visiting conditions

From this Monday, March 14, 2022, the hospitals of the Vivalia group will return to phase 0 of the covid plan. Less than 15% of intensive care beds are occupied by covid patients. On Friday March 11, Vivalia listed 2 patients hospitalized for or with Covid in intensive care (1 in Arlon and 1 in Marche) and 13 in conventional care units (4 in Arlon, 2 in Marche and 7 in Libramont).

Vivalia has therefore decided to once again make the visit conditions more flexible. From now on, a patient can receive the visit of 2 people per day. The time slot for visits is extended. She is now from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.. Visits always take place in the patient’s room. You are asked to respect physical distances, to disinfect your hands at the entrance to the hospital and the room. Wearing a mask remains applicable in hospitals for people over 12 years old. People who have covid symptoms such as fever, cough, loss of taste, etc.

Visits are not permitted for persons under the age of 18. Some exceptions are put in place: in maternity wards where siblings are accepted, in critical situations, end of life, etc. with the agreement of the head physician.

For certain services such as intensive care, visits are possible outside these various instructions with the agreement of the head doctor.

Greater restrictions are maintained for particularly fragile patients. Visits are still prohibited for covid patients.
