A “sustainable” partnership in place

Members of Chartres La Belle Verrière, a women’s Lions club chaired by Catali Paccou, have decided to support the Le Bercail social residence, which welcomes women with children.

For this, the volunteers of this service club have initiated several actions over the months. Last week, they were able to hand over the fruit of their mobilization to Ingrid Barthe, director of Bercail.

“Already in service”

After handing over toys, childcare equipment and clothing in October, preparing Christmas gifts for children and mothers in December, they officially handed over eight backpacks to traveling educators and 1,000 surgical masks.

“Each bag contains educational material: a story box, a storybook, a rattle, a card game and many other games for all ages. Our service club contributed €1,000 to the purchase of these bags. The Family Allowance Fund and the Apprentis d’Auteuil also contributed to the success of this project. We are keen to develop a lasting partnership with the Bercail,” underlines Ghislaine Augé-Derussit, member of La Belle Verrière.

Ingrid Barthe thanked the members of the women’s club, stressing that the backpacks and their contents “were already in service to the delight of young and old alike”.
