This atmospheric figure is generally atypical for the month of March, although it can actually occur in all seasons. Normally it is during the summer period that we notice it most as the hot temperatures tend to enhance its mild and warm nature. Is called ‘African’ because it is generated in an area of high pressure of a continental subtropical nature in the area of northern Africa where the Sahara desert is found, which guarantees continuous and persistent atmospheric stability.
From Tuesday 15 March the scream ofAfrican anticyclone will make itself felt and with its warm blanket it will envelop a large part of our country: time, play strength, will return to calm almost everywhere, except for a faint variability affecting our northern regions and part of the Center, however with consequences that will certainly not be remembered in the meteorological annals.
Only from Friday 18 (even if we will most likely have some signals since Thursday 17) from the West will advance one disturbance atlantica destined to cause a general worsening of the weather, especially in the Center-South.
Le temperature they will rise and not a little compared to the last few days and also compared to last week: to do the lion’s share, in this sense, will be above all the Alpine valleys, the Val Padana and a large part of the Center-South. It will not be surprising that in the next few days, on these areas, i thermometers they had to climb up to even exceed the 20°C!
The consequencesafter a truly stingy winter of rainfall on our country, they could be dramatic in some regionsespecially in terms of extreme drought. A very serious water shortage is affecting in particular the northern sectors of our country (especially the Northwest) and judging by the latest updates that have just arrived, not even the disturbance expected at the end of the week will be strong enough to rebalance a situation that has now become alarming.
