The hack of Toei Animation’s private network will affect the release schedule of a number of anime, including One Piece and Digimon: Ghost Game. The hack took place on March 6. As a result of the hack, the company’s internal private network died.
The shutdown of the company’s internal network has also caused production delays for a number of series. A number of series, such as Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai and Delicious Party Precurehas confirmed will serve rerun in the new episode schedule. Digimon’s official Twitter account also said that the episode Ghost Game which was supposed to air on March 20 was postponed.
The One Piece anime’s official Twitter account indicated that the episode that originally aired on March 20 was affected by the hack. They stated that they would provide an update regarding what they would broadcast on that date. The current schedule indicates that the episode that actually aired on that date was Episode 1,015 entitled Luffy the Straw Hat – The Man Who Will Be the King of Pirates.

“We will inform you about the broadcast schedule after March 20 (Sunday) on the official One Piece portal site ‘OnePiece.com’ and a number of One Piece official SNS. We sincerely apologize to all viewers who are looking forward to the broadcast every week. We will do our best to recover the adventures of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding,” wrote the official statement from the OnePiece.com website.
Toei Animation is part of the Toei Company, a Japanese media conglomerate that also produces live-action films, TV series, books, and video game. The studio was originally founded in 1948 and is one of the best animation companies in Japan. They have produced a number of famous anime such as Mazinger Z, Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, and Yu-Gi-Oh.
