From Monday 14 March, every adult resident of the municipality of Weert can collect free corona self-tests from the municipality. These self-tests are provided by the national government.
Every resident can pick up five self-tests at the town hall or the Civil Affairs branch in Stramproy. This is possible from March 14 to April 8, 2022 within the regular opening hours of the town hall or the annex.
Now that the corona measures are increasingly relaxing, the central government continues to advise testing. For example, when you have complaints or when you see a lot of other people. Residents with a low income may experience financial barriers in this regard. The national government therefore provides free self-tests for people with a low income.
In addition, the vaccination rate in Weert is on average lower than in other cities and the infection rates are on average higher than in other cities. That is why Weert gets extra self-tests, so that not only residents with a low income, but all residents can pick up the free self-tests. Self-tests are also made available in other ways for low-income residents. Each resident can decide for themselves whether or not to use it.
You can pick up the tests at the town hall (Wilhelminasingel 101) or the Burgerzaken branch (Mariastraat 1) in Stramproy.
