Former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs 2015-2016 Rizal Ramli mention the Minister of Trade (Minister of Trade) Muhammad Lutfi | as the original office njeplak. Because Rizal said, many of Lutfi’s statements which he considered as jokes were not funny.
The first statement regarding the high cost and scarcity of soybeans in Indonesia occurs because there are 5 billion pigs in China that consume soybeans.
It is known, after reviewing the supply of cooking oil in Makassar on Thursday (17/2), Lufi did say that the recent increase in soybean prices was triggered by restructuring of animal husbandry in China, which received 5 billion pigs.
The restructuring triggered an increase in soybean demand for pork. As a result of the increase in demand, the price of soybeans also rose and had an impact on Indonesia, including tofu and soybean craftsmen.
“It’s a joke that isn’t funny, I once called the minister of commerce a minister from a scumbag. For example, he said that we are having trouble with soybeans, because there are 5 billion pigs in China that eat soybeans, whereas pigs in China eat 402 million. Second, the pigs eat soybean dregs, ” said Rizal Ramli, at the Bani Abdul Hanan Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Pejaten Village, Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency, Banten, Saturday (12/03).
The second statement is about the scarcity of cooking oil because it is hoarded by the public. The man who also served as Coordinating Minister for Economy during the Gus Dur era explained that Muhammad Lutfi’s statement hurt the Indonesian people.
He also considered the operation of the cooking oil market as an image for government officials. While the real problem; The availability of cooking oil in the market at a low price, he considered, was not resolved.
“The majority of our people’s income is daily, there’s no way they can hoard a lot,” he explained.
Rizal Ramli said he had experienced the same problem when he was in government. At that time, the price of cooking oil rose by 100 percent.
At that time, he gathered palm oil plantation owners and cooking oil producers. He asked businessmen to immediately lower prices and provide cooking oil in the market.
Because Indonesia is the largest producer of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) in the world. So it is not uncommon for difficulties and cooking oil to be expensive.
“Domestic entrepreneurs want big profits. He takes the domestic quota, he exports it. I was simple at that time, if cooking oil doesn’t go down within one month, check all taxes, it goes down in three weeks,” he explained.
