Municipalities – Frankfurt am Main – Feasibility study for trams in the district of Offenbach – Politics

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – The idea of ​​a tram from Neu-Isenburg via Dreieich to Langen is making headway: representatives of the three cities and the city of Frankfurt launched a feasibility study on Friday. By mid-2024, it should provide well-founded information about the route, passenger numbers, costs and funding options, as reported by the local transport company traffiq.

The cost of the feasibility study is estimated at 360,000 euros, shared equally between the four partner municipalities. The tram line currently ends at the Frankfurt city limits of Neu-Isenburg. A potential study came to the conclusion that 5,000 new customers are possible every day and that the planned route in the Offenbach district can be implemented.
