Papuan Student Hits Intel’s Head at Central Jakarta Police Set Suspect-Detained!

Polda Metro Jaya has conducted an investigation into a Papuan student named Alpius Webda alias Maikel Wali, who beat the victim Head of Intel Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Ferikson Tampubolon at a violent demonstration on Jl Veteran III, Central Jakarta. Alpius has been named a suspect.

“It’s true, the suspect has been named,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E Zulpan when contacted detik.comSaturday (12/3/2022).

Zulpan said the perpetrators were now charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code regarding persecution. The perpetrator has also been arrested.

“He’s been arrested,” said Zulpan.

Previously, the police arrested a Papuan student named Alpius Wenda alias Maikel Wali who beat the Central Jakarta Metro Police Head of Intelligence AKBP Ferikson Tampubolon during a violent demonstration on Jl Veteran III, Central Jakarta. The student has also admitted his actions.

“He has admitted. His status is still being investigated,” said Zulpan when contacted Friday (11/3).

Papuan student demonstration This took place on Friday (11/3) around 12.30 WIB. Initially, the mass of Papuan students who rejected the division of Papua forced them to the Merdeka Palace.

However, the police and TNI officers intercepted the crowd. They came with the Morning Star flag.

They continued to force their way into the palace even though they were intercepted by the authorities. Clashes between officers and students were inevitable.

“They carried out anarchistic actions, even my Intellectual Officer was beaten until his head was torn off,” explained Hengki.

A total of 90 people were then taken to the Polda Metro Jaya. As of Friday night, 89 Papuan students had been sent home.
