FC 06 Bad Kissingen – DJK Hirschfeld (Saturday, 2.30 p.m., in Winkels)
After the successful 3-0 start in Thulba, FC 06 Bad Kissingen (4./27) is about to play their first home game of the year. However, against DJK Hirschfeld (9./20), the 06ers don’t play in the sports park, but instead switch to the artificial turf pitch in Winkels. The reason for this is the critical lawn conditions in the sports park. However, this should not prevent Daniel May’s protégés from continuing the attack in second place. The opponent has not yet intervened in the action, but the course for the coming season has already been set far-reaching. You start together with district league club TSV Heidenfeld as SG Heidenfeld/Hirschfeld. The new coach will be Martin Schendzielorz, who is known to be training the WMP Lauertal Rhön district league at the moment. Bad Kissingen’s outgoing player-coach, who was very satisfied with his team’s performance in Thulba, is also pursuing ambitious goals: “We won the derby under difficult conditions and kept a clean sheet. All in all, it was a good team effort,” says Daniel May. In the first half of the season, the zero-six won 2-0 after a hard fight and being twice the man down. The Kurstädter still have to do without new signing Morteza Ansari (torn ligament).
TSV Forst – TSV Münnerstadt
(Sunday, 3 p.m.)
The start of TSV Münnerstadt (2nd/30) at TSV Forst (8th/22nd) is unfavorable. Ironically, in the last test against district league FC WMP Lauertal (4:0), top scorer Simon Snaschel (cartilage damage) and Lucas Fleischmann (torn cruciate ligament) were seriously injured and are therefore out for the rest of the season. Together, the two offensive players scored 23 of the 33 Mürschter goals – a heavy burden in terms of the rest of the round. “Up until two weeks ago, everything was going very well in preparation. Now, unfortunately, we’ve been hit hard. In addition to the two serious injuries, we, like other teams, have several other cases of Corona. That’s why we’ll probably be looking for a few players in Forst have to do without”, explains assistant coach Simon Snaschel, but despite the misery he also sees the chance for one or the other player from the second rank. TSV Forst has problems of a completely different kind. Started as a title candidate, coach Roman Glöckner’s team is bobbing, making room for ex-professional Pero Skoric in the new round, around in the middle of the table, with only vague prospects of relegation. There were no changes in the Forster squad in winter. The best shooters are Mohamed Hamdoun and Tim Westerhausen with eight and six goals.
