At least two officers from the Mechelen-Willebroek police zone have filed a complaint against a male colleague. They accuse him of transgressive behavior. Two weeks ago, the pushy colleague would have put something in their drink during a party in Antwerp to sedate them.

The Antwerp public prosecutor’s office is investigating the case, which was classified as a sex crime case. “What exactly happened at the party is currently being thoroughly investigated,” said public prosecutor Kristof Aerts. ‘The investigation is now in the hands of the General Inspectorate, which monitors the police services. The male colleague will be questioned so that we also know his version of the facts, but of course we take this matter very seriously.’
The police zone also started disciplinary proceedings. It is being investigated whether the man should be suspended pending the investigation.
