Helmut Lotti (52) is willing to accommodate Ukrainian refugees at his home. The singer has registered as a reception family in his municipality of Durbuy. He told that to Radio 2.

Helmut Lotti has two guest rooms available at home. Enough space for a mother with a maximum of three children to stay, he indicates. “That way they have their privacy, but it is really the intention that they come and live with us downstairs,” says the singer.
It is not yet clear how long he will accommodate the refugees. But the decision to run for office was undisputed. “I think we should expect anything but problems from those people, they are people in a crisis situation who are probably already grateful to be given shelter,” it sounds.
Although Helmut wonders whether language will not be a stumbling block. “My main concern is communication: I hope they can speak some English or German after all.”
