The city of Barcelona has presented its candidacy to host the America’s Cup in 2024, the most important sailing competition in the world, municipal sources have confirmed to Efe.
Barcelona’s candidacy, advanced by La Vanguardia, is endorsed by the Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat, the Diputación and the Port of Barcelona, and the Barcelona Global association has been directly involved in its preparation.
