Changing room Paris Saint Germain heated up after the defeat of Real Madrid. Neymar and Gianluigi Donnarumma reportedly quarreled until it had to be separated.
PSG again failed in the Champions League. This time The Parisians eliminated by Real Madrid in the round of 16.
PSG had the upper hand after bagging a 1-0 win from the first leg. When traveling to Madrid’s headquarters at Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg, Thursday (10/3/2022) early morning WIB, PSG opened wide the way to the quarter-finals after Kylian Mbappe scored a goal in the first half.
However, Madrid rose in the second half. Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick to bring Madrid to beat PSG with a score of 3-1. PSG was eliminated with an aggregate of 2-3.
Donnarumma then hit back at Neymar by blaming him for Benzema’s second goal. Benzema’s second goal did start when Neymar’s pass was cut off by Luka Modric.
According to reports Brand, Neymar and Gianluigi Donnarumma bickering in the locker room after the game. The incident occurred when Neymar blamed Donnarumma for Benzema’s first goal.
The situation then heated up. Neymar and Donnarumma almost clashed in the PSG dressing room until they had to be separated.
It wasn’t the only incident that happened after the game. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was also reportedly angry in the referee’s room.
