Obi-Wan Kenobi offers mernostalgia from a galaxy far, far away.
Star Warsthe films stand still. Among other things, because the latest, 275 million dollars (!) Expensive The Rise of Skywalker from 2019, received medium reception. While Solo: A Star Wars Storydespite good reviews, became the franchise’s biggest commercial flop.

Next out of Disney + is Ewan McGregor and his Obi-Wan Kenobiwhich has finally got its first trailer.
The action is currently state secret. Lucasfilm will say no more than that it will take place a decade later Star Wars – Revenge of the Sith (2005), in which Obi-Wan’s bestie Anakin Skywalker became the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The story begins with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi taking care of Luke Skywalker on the planet Tatooine. Then end up as a wild adventure.

Then, as promised, it seems to get wild. And magnificent! Among other things, thanks to horrible The Grand Inquisitor alias Pau’an; a Jedi Knight who goes over to the dark side.

The series premieres on May 25. Although this is a miniseries; fingers crossed too Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 already now.
Directed by Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian), screenwriter is Joby Harold (Army of the Dead) and Ewan McGregor are co-producers.
The Inquisitor is played by Rupert Friend (the upcoming Netflix series Anatomy of a Scandal with Sienna Miller), while Moses Ingram (Emmy-nominated for The Queen’s Gambit) has the role of the inquisitor Reva alias The Third Sister. Hayden Christensen is back as Darth Vader.
