It climbed onto a tanker standing on the track

An electric arc hit a young man at the railway station in Burgas. The 15-year-old boy got on a tanker standing on the track.

The report of the incident was submitted by a friend of the boy. Once it came within range of the catenary, it was hit by an electric arc that threw it meters from the tank.

The child has severe burns. After the incident he was taken to UMHAT-Burgas. However, it will probably be transported to the Burns Clinic at the Varna Military Hospital.

“27,000 kilovolts is the voltage in the catenary. Less than two meters away is life-threatening, “said an NRIC official.

The details of the incident are being clarified.
