Many artists will take the stage this Tuesday evening March 8 to show their support for Ukraine and raise funds for the Red Cross.
Among them, Indochine, Zazie, Pascal Obispo, Carla Bruni, Jane Birkin, Julien Clerc… But also Florent Pagny. The 60-year-old singer is however suffering from a lung cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment for several weeks now. Asked by The ParisianPascal Obispo, speaking of the concert broadcast on France 2, affirms that “at a time when social networks and continuous information constantly send us images of war, it is also good to send images of peace.” Friend of Florent Pagny, he also hinted that the coach of The Voice had started a “third round of treatment.”
For his part, Florent Pagny is confident: “When it’s taken from the start and it’s very isolated, I only see the good side of things. I started chemo and it’s not going badly, I take it pretty well“, he confided last month on TF1.
Florent Pagny will therefore be present on stage on Tuesday evening, with, we hope for him, as much energy as usual. The concert will take place at the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique in Paris. Naguy, who will present the concert, explained to Le Parisien that “It’s not a political show. even if everyone will be free to say what they want. No artist comes on sale. They are just there to show solidarity and raise funds for the Red Cross.” In addition to singing, there will also be dancing, with the meaningful performance of Lake of Signs, by Ukrainian dancer Denys Cherevychko and Russian dancer Olga Chelpanova.
