Police in Bansko are on the lookout for professionals who robbed the Vodenitsata tavern, owned by businessman Lazar Durchov, last night on March 8th. BGN 350,000, gold and family valuables disappeared in a matter of minutes, as the thieves broke through the balcony door on the floors above the tavern and very quickly and masterfully took the money, sources from the investigation said, quoted by Struma.com.
The money was hidden in a special hiding place, but the professionals apparently had information about their exact location and headed there. Minutes after the theft, the owner Lazar Durchov went up and found the missing person. He went down to the tavern, where there were celebrants, and told his relatives. His wife literally collapsed at the news.
Police officers immediately arrived on the scene and inspected it. According to the comments of those close to Durchov, the theft is the work of absolute professionals, the handwriting is familiar to the police, who hope that they will be found. This is a non-local group. The thieves took BGN 350,000, but left about BGN 4,000, probably out of “superstition” or pity for the owners, the sources from the investigation comment.
