Nicolas Mathieu, the winner of the 2018 Goncourt Prize, with Their children after them, is one of the most anticipated headliners of this edition of the Bron Book Festival.
We find in his last novel, Connemarareleased at the beginning of this month of February, absolutely everything that had us excited about his award-winning novel.
An attention full of empathy towards the “little people”, an understanding of these inhabitants of peripheral France, roundabouts and yellow vests.
And this through a story that is no longer a question of letting go once it has been started. It depicts the intertwined destinies of two characters born in the same place, with diametrically opposed trajectories, but who find themselves in their forties around the irresistible desire to find their teenage fever.
