Facebook, Twitter, Telegram and Co have long been accused of providing a platform for hate speech and disinformation. During the corona pandemic in particular, it became clear that extremist actors use social networks to mobilize their supporters. In relevant groups, criticism of measures is often mixed with right-wing extremist positions – and discussions sometimes lead to violent fantasies such as the murder plans against the Saxon Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer.
