For more than 17 years, John (39) worked in New York with the “Vice Squad”, a special unit of the US police. As an undercover cop, he infiltrated the gangs of New York and put drug lords and pimps in jail. Every day was a matter of life and death. Show feelings, his real self? None!

Then came October 2016: “I met friends. They introduced me to Marie (41) from Germany – and she enchanted me! That smile and her resolute manner!” They had a long-distance relationship between New York and Munich for a year, then it was clear: John would move to Germany.
Everything for love!
He gave up his life-threatening job on the streets of New York and looked for something very safe – at the post office! Ex-Cop John to BILD: “I’ve been sorting the mail in the Munich mail center since 2018. Compared to back then, it feels like I’m on vacation.”
