The reform of the Garden of Music advances at a good pace

The Garden of Music will offer a revamped image very soon. The works for its reform began a few weeks ago and are advancing at a good pace. With an execution period of nine months, the reform is expected to be completed before the end of the year.

Those who walk through the area can see how the work is progressing, since part of the floor of the two buildings in the lower part has already been lifted, and work is being done in the garden areas.

As the City Council assured, this space will maintain the perimeter wall, the emblematic aviary, as well as the garden areas. And highlights the recovery of the cafeteria, which closed about 15 years ago.

The works, with a budget of 576,000 euros within the Elda Renace plan, consist of the expansion and restructuring of the garden areas, as well as the rehabilitation of all the iconic elements of this location to preserve its essence and classic appearance. The two buildings in the lower part are going to be rehabilitated and integrated into the whole of the entire landscaped area, at the same time that their floors and facades are improved. The current font, which is in disuse, is going to be replaced by a new, more functional one.

The renovation of the LED lighting of the entire garden, of the urban furniture and the inclusion of the children’s play areas is also planned. In addition, the current aviary will be recovered and the entire perimeter fence that has always characterized the Music Garden will be rehabilitated.
