In Uetze near Hanover, a man fell several meters while working on a wind turbine on Monday afternoon – he was fatally injured. As reported by the NDR, the man fell between 30 and 60 meters in the Wilhelmshöhe II wind farm.
According to a report in the “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung”, the man who died in the accident was said to be a fitter from the company, which was probably working on the electrical system of the wind turbine still under construction.

Accordingly, the man landed on a platform in the tower, which is said to be about 30 meters above the ground. Colleagues of the worker would have wanted to provide first aid, but could only determine the man’s death. They roped the man down from the scene of the accident, where, according to “HAZ”, a rescue helicopter took him away.
According to the NDR report, the police and the labor inspectorate now want to determine whether all the regulations for securing the work have been complied with.
