Singer Arno receives his Lifetime Achievement Award under loud applause and a guard of honor at the film festival in Ostend

Arno Hintjens was the Master of the very first edition of Film Festival Ostend in 2007 and received the first star in the Walk Of Fame on the Zeedijk. This year he will again be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award and a big round of applause from well-known and lesser-known people. A lot of fans came to form a meter-thick honorary hedge along the red carpet.

Arno has been making music for over half a century. Songs like “O la la la c’est magnifique” and “Les yeux de ma mère” still crop up on year-end lists every year. Although he has had pancreatic cancer for a long time, Arno is still performing this month in the AB in Brussels and in the Kursaal in Ostend.
