Earlier on Sunday, Dagbladet was able to report that Persen will take over as Minister of Labor and Social Inclusion after Hadia Tajik, who resigned on Wednesday.
On Sunday, Tajik also resigned as deputy leader of the Labor Party after a long series of revelations about her commuter homes and apartments she rented out while receiving free housing from taxpayers.

Terje Lien Aasland enters the new job with solid knowledge. He currently heads the energy and environment committee in the Storting. Here he has played an important role in the preparation of the electricity subsidy in connection with the sky-high oil prices this winter.
Aasland originally comes from Skien and represents Telemark in the Storting where he has been elected since 2005. He has a background as an energy fitter, and has been a shop steward in the trade union movement and local politicians in his hometown.
On Sunday, it was ready for a full reshuffle in the government and the Labor Party.
First out was the news that Hadia Tajik is also resigning as deputy leader of the Labor Party, after she resigned as minister on Wednesday. On Sunday evening, the party’s central board held a meeting on the matter.
The Labor Party does not aim to replace Tajik with a new deputy leader now, and Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Bjørnar Skjæran will thus be deputy leader alone for over a year until the next national meeting, in over a year.
Shortly afterwards, the news came that the current Minister of Petroleum and Energy Marte Mjøs Persen will take over from Tajik as the new Minister of Labor and Inclusion. Sources confirm the news to Dagbladet.
At that time, a new post was vacant in the government. At around 10 pm, sources tell Dagbladet that it will be Aasland who enters that position.
