Liverpool moved within three points of Premier League title rivals Manchester City today when they earned a vital victory over Champions League chasers West Ham United at Anfield.
The Reds secured a 1–0 victory through Senegalese star Sadio Mané after scoring from close range when Trent Alexander Arnold played a fine low pass into the box for him that went past Lukasz Fabiański.

West Ham have created their own chances and honestly Miguel Lanzini should have matched the Hammers level, but seven wins in a row will see Liverpool expect a big favor tomorrow from their bitter rivals Man United in the derby against City. .
Liverpool player ratings
Alisson Becker (8) – He made a handful of key saves at once over the course of the game and handled West Ham’s danger from set pieces. Good as always.
Trent Alexandre-Arnold (9) – Very good in all departments. Assist in the only goal of the game and also make a good defensive display. MoTM for Liverpool.
Ibrahima Konate (7) – A bit of the history of two halves for the French. But in general it has become procedural and continues to show the potential that it has.
Virgilio van Dijk (8) – Eventually everyone will run out of positive things to say about your performance. Top level in all departments.
Andy Robertson (7) – Solid throughout. Nothing more to say other than a few questions about the consistency of your service delivery.
Fabinho (6.5) – A similar general performance of the Brazilian seen from Konaté. Eventually, glimpses of its usual consistency can be found.
Jordan Henderson (7.5) – Well. And above all, she never hides. She keeps showing why she wears the bracelet.
Naby Keita (7,5) – Keita remains an enigmatic player. So good his day, but inconsistency has been his weakness since he arrived from RB Leipzig. Today he showed the quality of him.
Mohamed Salah (6.5) – Not his best performance in a Liverpool kit, but still tidy in some ways. Nothing but decent at night.
Sadio Mané (7.5) – The goal is likely to boost his overall rating for the match as, like Salah, the Liverpool striker was slightly below tonight. Encore was decent beyond the lens.
Luis Diaz (8) – Once again, the January signing of Luis Diaz showed why the Reds poured money into the former FC Porto star. It is a real pleasure and he has managed to encourage the public on several occasions.
Substitute: Diogo Jota (5) – He was involved in his cameo but didn’t add much. Also reserved.
Alternate: James Milner (N/A) – He did little in the few minutes allotted to him at the end of the debates.
Substitute: Curtis Jones (N/A) – He received seconds in a strange substitution.
West Ham Player Ratings
Lukasz Fabianski (7) – I made a few stops overnight and it was pretty solid throughout. It is not responsible for the purpose.
Ben Johnson (6,5) – The 22-year-old made another decent change on the right side of the defence. He couldn’t have done much more.
Michael Dawson (6,5) – Roughly on the same level as Zouma, as the other half of the central defense pair put in a decent turn at night.
Kurt Zouma (6,5) – The Frenchman was good at his job that night, but sometimes there’s not much you can do when you go to Liverpool.
Aarón Creswell (6) – He is not his usual self at all. Decent is probably the best word that can be described for a performance that lacked clout.
Jarrod Bowen (6) – He had a good night before picking up the injury in the 61st minute with David Moyes now fearing the England midfielder was running out of time.
Tomás Soucek (7) – Reliable and present as always in the center of the park even without Rice by his side. Strong in the air and on the ground in tackles as always.
Miguel Lanzini (7) – He missed an outright guilty chance from close range that could have given West Ham a point on the night, but he was generally good as an assistant to Declan Rice.
Nikola Vlasic (6) – Nothing but decent from the Croatian midfielder who is a much more effective player when used as a centre-back.
Pablo Fornals (6.5) – An overall performance similar to that of Antonio. Lively had a few chances, but only lost a few percentage points overall.
Miguel Antonio (6.5) – He managed to get into good positions throughout and led the Hammers in shooting, but couldn’t turn any of those chances into a draw.
Suplent: Saïd Benrahma (6) – He did well to get bogged down (three innings) but his main objectives were not achieved given his quality and position.
Suplente: Mark Noble (6) – He was fine after he arrived and involved as best he could, but had little real influence.
Suplente: Daniel Chesters (N/A) – He came in two minutes into downtime and didn’t really get involved.
