52 Percent Progress, Jakarta Formula E Circuit Made Permanent

Jakarta

JakPro together with Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD M Taufik monitor the construction of the circuit Formula E. Taufik revealed that currently the track construction progress has reached 52 percent.

“The progress is 52 percent. So the remaining 48 percent, God willing, it will be finished by early April,” said Taufik, to reporters, Sunday (6/3/2022).

During the visit, Taufik advised that the circuit work be completed according to schedule. So that it does not interfere with the preparation of the Formula E event as a whole. He is also optimistic that PT Jaya Konstruksi will build a proper circuit and comply with the regulations.

“They can’t go outside the standard rules of the Formula E organization, that’s all. And these people are already good at making toll roads,” he explained.

Circuit Made Permanent

Taufik also said that the Formula E circuit would be of a permanent type. He claims the circuit can be used for other automotive activities for the next 10 years.

“This is permanent here. It can be used for years, up to 5-10 times,” he said.

President Director of PT Jakpro Widi Amanasto confirmed Taufik’s statement. He also ensures that maintenance will be carried out regularly.

“It will continue to be used later, Jakpro is responsible for maintenance and others. I think they have taken it into account,” Widi added.
