Russian Sophisticated Fighter Jets ‘Crumbling Down’ Hit by a Missile of the Ukrainian Army

Jakarta

A number of advanced Russian fighter jets are reportedly downed by a Ukrainian army missile. This incident adds to the long list of losses on the Russian side after their attack helicopters and army convoy were destroyed by Bayraktar TB2 drone missiles.

Russia’s attack on Ukraine entered its 11th day (6/3). More and more victims fell from both sides. Russia has controlled several areas or territories in Ukraine, while destroying several important Ukrainian facilities.

On the other hand, Ukraine has also shot down a lot of Russian sophisticated planes, causing them to catch fire and fall to the ground. As reported from the website The Driveseveral Russian warplanes had to be stung by short-range missiles of the Ukrainian army.

Several types of Russian fighter aircraft that were declared downed were 1 SU-30SM Flanker fighter jet, 2 SU-34 Fullback units, and 2 SU-25 Frogfoots, including 2 Mi-24/Mi-35 and two Mi-8 helicopters, also Orlan drone.

So far there has been no official statement from the Ukrainian or Russian side regarding the destruction of the planes. But from many sources circulating, especially in the form of videos, Russian warplanes were downed because they were shot by the Ukrainian army’s flank missiles.

In the video circulating on social media timelines, the Russian planes are able to be reached by Stinger, Igla, and Javelin wing missiles or Manpads (Man-Portable Air-Defense System). The Russian pilots could not avoid the attack because the plane was flying low.
