Karakachanov revealed why Stefan Yanev was removed

The reason for removing Stefan Yanev from his post is not disagreement, because the BSP was against sanctions and arms aid to Ukraine, former Defense Minister Krassimir Karakachanov told NovaNews’s “Offensive” program.

“There is tension between the prime minister and the president. The reasons are that some of Radev’s staff, such as district governors and state administration officials, have been removed,” he said.

“In the next 10 days, the conflict will end not in Ukraine’s favor. Then it will be too late. Now European leaders must look for a way out to preserve Ukraine as a state and ensure that it is not a threat to Russia,” Krassimir Karakachanov said.

According to him, there are two options – Europe will either regain a key role in world politics or the inaction of European leaders will become a marginal continent, and the EU will weaken its influence. “They must mediate the peace process, without unnecessary declarations. We are now in the middle of a conflict. The Ukrainian army will not last long,” Karakachanov said.

According to him, the provision of military equipment to Ukraine is unreasonable. “They will not reverse the course of the war. We would scrap our last combat-ready aircraft. It is not serious to close the airspace over Ukraine, it means a NATO clash with Ukraine and World War III. They probably gave Zelensky hopes for military help and now he is desperate, “he said.
