The Chinese Broadcasting Authority has decided not to broadcast the next round of Premier League matches. This decision is motivated by the support campaigns planned for Ukraine.
That’s what the BBC reported on Friday. Last week, the Premier League decided to draw attention to the situation in Ukraine, which was attacked by Russia, during the various matches. The Chinese, however, don’t feel like spreading this and have decided to boycott.
ALLY OF RUSSIA
China is an ally of Russia and one of the few countries that did not condemn the invasion of Ukraine. In an earlier statement, the Premier League said it “disapproves” of the Russian invasion and calls for peace. The captains of all clubs will wear a special headband this weekend and there will also be texts on the stadium screens.
