JAKARTA, celebrities.id – New study reveals link between blood type and Covid-19. In this study, it was shown that the type of blood group determines the level of the condition Covid-19 patient.
Published in journal PLOS Geneticsscientists analyzed more than 3,000 proteins to identify causally linked to the development of severe COVID-19.
The study identified six proteins that could contribute to severe Covid-19 infection and eight that could contribute to protection from severe COVID-19.
“We have used a purely genetic approach to investigate a large number of blood proteins and determined that some have a causal relationship with the development of severe Covid-19,” said study co-author Alish Palmos from King’s College London. 2022)
In that study, one of the proteins (ABO) was identified as having a causal relationship with the risk of developing severe COVID-19.
Then showed that blood type plays an important role in whether people can form severe disease.
