During late 2021, Microsoft announced the acquisition of giant AI and technology company Nuance Communications for $19.7 billion, at the time citing its efforts in the areas of cloud, hardware, software and use in medicine.
After the regulatory periods for approval of the purchase, it was informed this Friday, March 4, that Nuance is officially part of Microsoft, joining other divisions of the company such as Office 365, GitHub, Azure, Xbox, LinkedIn, Windows and Surface.
