The brewer confirms this after reporting by, among others, NRC. In Russia, Heineken makes the beers Zhigulevskoe and Oxota for the local market. With approximately 1800 employees, the company claims to be the third largest brewer in the country. For Heineken itself, the Russian language accounts for less than 2 percent of global sales.
Local production
A statement from the brewer says nothing about restrictions on local production. Heineken does indicate that the brewing and beverage sector is not subject to sanctions.
