Turkish billionaire Muhsin Bayrak has expressed interest in buying the English football club FC Chelsea. He will have a new owner after the current long-time owner Roman Abramovič announced that he planned to sell the London club.
Construction, energy and technology mogul Bayrak revealed that he had submitted an official offer to buy “The Blues”.

“We can certainly confirm our interest in Chelsea,” AFP quoted Sedu to the flag, general manager of Bayrak company AB Grup Holding. According to the British media, there are more people interested in buying Chelsea, for example, American billionaire Todd Boehly also took part in the fight.
Abramovich called the move to sell Chelsea a decision in the club’s best interests. He took it over in 2003, during his era Londoners won the Premier League five times and triumphed in the Champions League in 2012 and 2021.
However, Abramovich is facing sanctions in Great Britain due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and on Saturday he transferred the club’s administration to a charity. The Russian, who also holds an Israeli and Portuguese passport, has declared that the proceeds of the sale will go to the victims of the war in Ukraine.
