BILBAO, 4 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

On March 19, the BBK room will host a charity concert by the Bilbao Gospel choir to benefit the Metastatic Breast Cancer Association (CMM).

The concert, scheduled for 7:00 p.m., costs 10 euros to enter and seats can be purchased at the box office or from the website www.salabbk.es. People who cannot attend the concert, and want to contribute financially to CMM research, can make a donation in line zero in the account number of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Association.

In a statement, the entity has reported that, through this initiative, the association, made up of patients and relatives, “wants to give visibility to metastatic breast cancer, still unknown by society.”

The money raised from the concert will be used to promote and support research into this disease, as well as to support initiatives by oncologists and researchers in the field.

The Gospel Bilbao choir was born in 2012, with the purpose of promoting and bringing the values and “spirit” of the genre closer to the public, religious music that emerged in African-American Protestant churches in the 18th century.

As a cultural association, it tries to be a focus of light and hope in the city of Bilbao and, among its objectives, is “to become agents of change, influence and impact, through its songs, which always have an appealing character and vindictive, with a touch of hope, joy and purpose”.

Directed by Alain Gallego, it is made up of more than 40 voices, including sopranos, alto and tenor. In this solidarity concert they will be accompanied by four instrumentalists on piano, electric bass, guitars and drums.
