A masked gang has stolen material for 300,000 euros from the set of the Netflix series ‘Lupin’ in France. No one got hurt

The facts took place on February 25 in Nanterre, not far from Paris. Lead actor Omar Sy was acting when about twenty people barged into the set. They threw mortar fire and looted as much stuff as possible in the meantime.
Netflix confirmed to showbiz site Varierty that “an incident” had taken place. “The actors and crew are safe and no one was injured,” it said. The perpetrators have not yet been caught, but authorities have launched an investigation.

Remarkably, in the series, Omar Sy plays Assane Diop, a master thief, who takes inspiration from the books about Arsène Lupin. Sy did not let the robbery get to his heart and was already on the podium of the Césars a few hours later.
Last month, 150,000 pounds worth of stuff was stolen from the set of The Crown, another Netflix series.
