A wave of “sexual chaos” is sweeping New York City. At least that’s how the Guardian puts it. The medium refers to the fact that there are more and more noise complaints about loud sex.
Basically, noise complaints are nothing unusual. There are up to 75,000 complaints in the city every month. But in 2021 alone, a whopping 277 noise complaints were registered about having sex that was too loud.

Complaints have been received in some places about “hippies” dressing up as Freddy Krueger, Pennywise and Easter bunnies. Loud music in the background. A local resident complains: “They keep coming back and organizing a sex chaos.”
Apparently these sex parties are hot. A neighbor is quoted as saying: “I thought it was too cold for an orgy, but they don’t stop.”
Another resident says: “For heaven’s sake stop these sex addicts!”
Some even go so far and realize that they have already slept through natural disasters such as earthquakes. But her neighbors’ sex noise keeps her awake. “She makes the bed squeak like it’s an Olympic event.”
