Five arrests
The perpetrators then took off in three cars with a loot of 14.5 million euros. Two of these cars drove to Broek in Waterland, just above Amsterdam. In the end, the police were able to arrest five people in a meadow. A sixth robber was killed.

While the two cars fled in the direction of Broek van Waterland, a third getaway car drove, out of sight of the police, in the direction of Diemen. Tonight the police shared a reconstruction of the event with previously unseen footage.
Belgian license plate
In Diemen, the suspects switched to a BMW with a Belgian license plate. They left the car they had fled into ablaze.

4 million euros
The police have recovered most of the loot, but a part with a value of more than 4 million is still missing. It concerns barrels with platinum, gold grains and melted gold bars.
