Vaccination continues in Baja California against Covid-19 – El Sol de Tijuana

According to reports from the Baja California Ministry of Health, until Tuesday’s noon cutoff, 3,338 doses had been applied in Tijuana. The vaccination points were located at the Tijuana Health Center, Salvatierra Sports Unit and the Sustainable Mobility Institute (IMOS).

Of the biological AstraZeneca, which is used for first and second doses, in addition to being applied as a booster vaccine in adults 18 years of age and older, 2,960 doses were applied at noon, while the Pfizer vaccine had been applied to 378 people.

The Institute for Sustainable Mobility (IMOS) was the vaccination point that had the greatest influx with 1,590 people who came to apply their vaccine.

On another public health issue, the Ministry of Health mentioned in a statement that the decrease in cases by Covid-19 continues, since in the last 24 hours of Monday, 8 new cases and 2 deaths were reported. Of the new confirmed cases, the city of Tijuana registered 3, San Quintín two and Ensenada 3.

The two recorded deaths occurred in Mexicali and Playas de Rosarito.

The month of February closed with 482 active cases, with the city of Tijuana presenting the highest number of cases with 185. The municipality of Mexicali registers 109, Ensenada 86, San Quintín 69, Tecate 22, Rosarito 8 and San Felipe 3.
