Ice hockey – The silent Swiss in the NHL

Five Swiss players were engaged Sunday night in the NHL, but none of them managed to stand out: not the slightest point to put in their mouths! And only Timo Meier and Nino Niederreiter were able to savor a victory.

The San Jose Sharks of Timo Meier (21’34” of playing time/neutral differential) indeed beat the Seattle Kraken 3-1, while the Carolina Hurricanes of Nino Niederreiter (15’49”/0) defeated the Edmonton Oilers 2-1.

The other three Swiss all lost at home. Dean Kukan (21’17”/-1) and the Columbus Blue Jackets lost 2-3 to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Janis Moser (19’52”/-2) and the Arizona Coyotes saw the Winnipeg Jets s win 5-3, while Philipp Kurashev (13’03”/0) and the Chicago Blackhawks failed to score against the St. Louis Blues (0-4).
